THE NIGHT OF ANCIENT BONFIRES
Soulful music. Refined Nordic cuisine. Ancient tradition.
Jan Luley presents his solo concert „Baltic Blues“
Internationally acclaimed pianist Jan Luley draws inspiration from the spirit of the Baltics, blending his own soulful heritage of New Orleans jazz with iconic Estonian composers such as Arvo Pärt. Described by the press as a “sorcerer of the keys,” he is considered one of the most entertaining pianists of our time. Luley’s playing is characterised by vibrant improvisation, rhythmic warmth, & moments of deep reflection. He is demonstrating that great art can simply be fun.
Nordic Islands’ Cuisine three-course dinner
No superb evening is complete without exceptional food. Following the concert, you are invited to indulge in a three-course dinner of Nordic Islands’ Cuisine, inspired by pure seasonal ingredients & brought to you by Chef de Cuisine Achim Braitsch & his team.
Ancient Bonfire
The night culminates with honoring the Ancient Bonfire tradition by gathering by the sea to light the fire – a tradition stretching back generations along the Baltics. Today, it symbolizes unity, remembrance, and hope, with bonfires glowing across the entire Baltic coastline. It’s a moment to connect, reflect, & mark the turning of the season under the open sky.
